The importance of wardrobe planning

Imagine having had a late Sunday night and the alarm goes off it’s Monday morning... because you are tired you keep touching snooze until you realize you are running late. The morning rush kicks in and you start running a round. By the time you hit the closet you actually should be done but you are still faced with the dilemma of having to choose an outfit...

I've always been one who's suffered to get outfits in the morning. I would begin preparing two hours before work/meeting but I’d still find myself to be late because putting together the perfect outfit for me never came easy. I like looking posh on a daily basis, there is never a dull day for me when it comes to fashion so I always make an effort.

A friend advised that I plan my weekly outfits on Sundays so that I don't have to stress and sweat every morning. Great idea right? And also sounds like a job... because one never really knows what mood they will be in on particular days of the week and my mood is what decides my outfits.

Planning your outfits prior to the week also requires for you to know your weeks schedule; the places you’ll be going to, people you’ll be meeting and occasion you’ll be attending. Once you have this figured out then it becomes easier to choose your outfits.

Of course there are other benefits either than just being on time... you get enough rest, you have the opportunity to pay attention to other things prior to work, meetings or dates. It also helps you to have a peaceful morning without the stress of having to put together an outfit.

Start planning your weekly outfits from basic wardrobe essentials which include:

Blazer

Leather jacket

White T-shirt

White shirt

Black pants

Blue jeans

Jumpsuit

Heels

Slides

Black dress

Keep in mind that the list changes based on the seasons.

Enjoy the planning.
